A family attached to a land, a village, a valley.
A story of "pioneers"
of green tourism in the 60s.
Josette and her husband Julien came up with the original idea of welcoming
tourists passing through on their way to their paid vacations... And it
worked !
Season after season, the regulars discovered the place, came back with their
friends, their friends' friends...and the generations followed one another.
The welcome was simple, authentic and natural. The Durance River just a
stone's throw away, an exceptional setting, 100% organic farm produce -
before the label!
That's what Camping La Cabane was all about.
And then water flowed under the bridges of the Durance... with its share of
joys and sorrows. A lot has happened in 55 years !
Today, the spirit
of La Cabane is still there, perpetuated by Hélène, the founders' daughter:
the environment, a warm welcome, authenticity. With a healthy dose of
innovation and energy, under the watchful eye of Josette Miollan...the story
continues with you...
